THE STORY BEHIND THE PRINT

”Rangoli” is a type of ground decoration used in India to welcome Hindu gods. During Dev Deepavali (”Festival of Lights of the Gods“), these vibrant, intricate patterns made out of flower petals or colored sand adorn the town of Varanasi, alongside thousands of “diyas” (oil lamps).

Diyas represent goodness and purity.
